What Happens When You Miss Your Appointment

• Your slot is forfeit — VFS marks it as a no-show and the slot is released
• Your fee is NOT refunded — The VFS service fee is typically non-refundable
• You need to rebook — Which means going back to the dreaded "no slots available" hunt
• Your documents are still valid — You don't need to re-gather documents (unless they expire)

Step-by-Step: What to Do Now

Step 1: Don't Panic

Missing an appointment is stressful but not the end of the world. Your visa application hasn't been rejected — you simply need a new appointment.

Step 2: Contact VFS Immediately

Call VFS Global's helpline for your country. Some centres offer a grace period or may reschedule within the same week if you call quickly.

Step 3: Rebook Online

Log into your VFS account and look for new appointment availability. Unfortunately, this puts you back in the regular booking queue.

Step 4: Consider Premium Services

If regular slots are unavailable, VFS premium or prime time appointments may have openings. The extra fee is worth it to avoid losing your trip.
