Prime Time appointments
Some US centers list a separate Prime Time category with its own calendar and its own VFS fee. Tell us if you are open to it and we book from that calendar as well.

Good to know
- Once an appointment is booked the fee is earned and not refundable, whatever happens to the appointment afterwards.
- A date change, cancellation or new search after a booking is a new service request with a new fee.

Why dates disappear so fast
Since 11 June 2026 every Portugal visa application in the United States must be submitted in person at the VFS centre that covers your place of residence, so an appointment is now mandatory for every category. VFS releases those appointments in small batches, often at unpredictable hours, and each batch is taken within minutes. Refreshing the calendar by hand works only if you happen to be looking at the right second. Monitoring every few seconds, with the booking made the instant a date appears, turns that lottery into a queue you are at the front of.

Questions applicants ask us
Is using QuickVisa for a VFS Portugal appointment allowed?
Yes. We read the same public availability pages any visitor sees, and every appointment is created in your own VFS account under your own name. Appointments are never resold or transferred.
Which US VFS Portugal center should I choose?
Your center depends on the state you live in: New York covers Connecticut, Michigan and New York; San Francisco covers the western states; Washington DC, Chicago, Houston and Miami share the southern and midwestern states. Massachusetts, Maine, New Hampshire, Vermont, Rhode Island, New Jersey, Pennsylvania and Delaware are handled by Portuguese consulates, not VFS. If you are unsure, choose “Not sure yet” on the form and we confirm the right center before monitoring starts.
How fast do you book once a date appears?
Our monitoring checks the calendar every few seconds. When a date matching your centre, category and earliest month appears, we complete the booking in your VFS account straight away and send you the confirmation.
What is a VFS Portugal Prime Time appointment?
Some US centers list a separate Prime Time appointment category with its own calendar and its own VFS fee. Tell us on the form if you are open to it and we book from that calendar as well.
What does the service cost and when do I pay?
One service: we book the appointment for you. There is no advance payment; the fee becomes due only after the appointment is booked, and it is not refundable once the booking is made. If a price is not shown yet, send the form and we reply with today's price in writing.
Does QuickVisa guarantee my visa will be approved?
No. The Portuguese consulate decides on the visa. Our fee covers the appointment booking only; the visa decision is separate and outside our control.
What if I need to change the date after it is booked?
A change, cancellation or new search after a successful booking is a new service request and carries a new fee, as set out in our Terms of Service.
